What is a personal brand?

Defining and knowing your personal brand is critical to your personal and career success. The reason why we feel stuck, disconnected, or like nothing is happening the way we want it to is because we attach our self-worth to societal expectations that aren’t truly aligned with the essence of who we are, i.e. all of the amazing qualities that make you human.

I created this workbook to help you, reconnect with your inner-self, define what you do, how to articulate that, and how to bridge what you are currently doing to draw attention to what you would like to be doing. We’re more than just our jobs and titles and knowing your personal brand will help you remain grounded when things don’t go as planned.

Knowing your personal brand is critical to leading with authority, authenticity, and confidence.

Since many of us are working professionals, I developed a formula to aid you in answering everyone’s favorite question, “What Do You Do?”. This workbook will guide you and challenge you to be honest with yourself about your current situation and whether or not that aligns with where you want to be.

These same methodologies can also be applied to your side hustle or business. Our goal here is to help you craft a concise statement that will help you have greater clarity on what you are all about.

A bit about me,

I help women of color build powerful and memorable brands. I also have a knack for uncovering strengths in people & support them in leveraging their newfound superpowers to live a life they love.

That is my personal brand statement. It’s concise yet descriptive enough to tell you about my mission and what I’m about.

Contain your personal brand statement to 35 seconds, keep it simple and for the professional ones you create, you can include a focus on your core competencies. More often than not, many people use too many words or catchphrases to describe who they are and what they do. When you use too many catchphrases or adjectives you can confuse your audience and thus lose their interest.
